The Microenterprise Development
Program (MDP) is a cooperative effort to provide skills and business
loan opportunities for targeted income individuals (entrepreneurs)
who have a strong desire to start their own small business.
The MDP Program will prepare new entrepreneurs for
the challenge of successfully owning their own business by

Helping individuals evaluate interests and abilities.

Exploring the concepts of self-employment and personal
readiness.

Offering extended workshops covering the important tools
necessary to run a small business.

Helping explore financing options including the SCEDD
micro-loan program which has been specially created for
Microenterprise graduates

Providing follow-up business counseling for newly created
businesses and links to ongoing resources.
