Who are we?

The MSCAA is the recipient and administrator of Community Services Block Grant funds for Modoc and Siskiyou Counties. MSCAA was formed in 1983 by the Boards of Supervisors of the two counties.

 

What is our purpose?

To assist in serving the unmet needs of the low-income residents of Modoc and Siskiyou Counties by:

  • Providing support to those delivering services
  • Encouraging the development of effective local organizations to better serve the target population

 

How do we do that?

By providing small grants of up to $15,000 to eligible organizations (local government, private non-profit organizations, community groups).

 

What kinds of projects are eligible?

  • Crisis intervention and prevention
  • Basic human resources
  • Educational services
  • Employment or training services
  • Support services
